Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to provide outstanding service at our Avon, Indiana store. You will greet customers, scan items, and complete transactions in a fast-paced, accurate manner while upholding company policies and safety standards.

You will be responsible for cash handling, operating the POS system, and assisting customers with questions about products and promotions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the checkout area.
• Process cashier transactions quickly, accurately, and politely.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, and coupons per policy.
• Follow company loss-prevention and cash-handling guidelines to minimize shortages.
• Maintain a clean, safe checkout zone and assist with store-wide safety and hygienic practices.
