Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a cashier/checker to create an outstanding customer experience in our Avon, Indiana store. You will greet customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and operate the POS system while following policy on various tender types and restricted items.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is not specified but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to policy.
• adhere to cash limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items and provide customer service across store departments.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness, and support safe operating procedures.
