Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit/Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and address unsafe conditions.
• Provide product knowledge and assist customers across departments.
