Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a part-time/ full-time Cashier/Checker for our store in Bloomington, IN. You will greet customers, process transactions, and ensure a safe, clean environment that reflects the company’s values of respect, integrity and service.

Responsibilities include handling cash, various tenders, promotions and coupons, while following all policies. You will help customers find products and answer questions to create a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash and other tender types per policy (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow store policies for restricted sale items and coupons.
• Maintain awareness of pricing discrepancies and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
