Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a part-time/full-time Cashier/Checker at our Monroe, Wisconsin location. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a safe, clean shopping environment while following company policies and promotions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tenders according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to food safety regulations.
• Enforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions to management.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer product questions.
