The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a part-time Cashier/Checker at our San Francisco store. You will greet customers, assist with products, and ensure a welcoming, efficient checkout experience.

This role supports adherence to safety, loss prevention, and food safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment. You will handle various payment methods at the POS, provide excellent service, and help maintain a clean, organized front-end area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the checkout area in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system.
• Handle tenders (cash, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, coupons) and ensure correct tendering and change.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale item policies (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
