You will work with the POS system, handle cash and other tenders, and follow policy on restricted items and promotions. This role requires teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to stay calm in a busy setting, with part-time hours and opportunities to grow within Kroger.

Qualifications

• Minimum Position Qualifications: Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Desirable Previous Job Experience: Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible, friendly manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow ads and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and overall store safety programs.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions throughout the store.
