Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly cashier/checker to provide an outstanding customer experience at our Reynoldsburg store. You will greet customers, handle checkout transactions, and operate the POS system with accuracy while following all cashier policies and sale restrictions.

You will also assist customers with product questions, follow safety and food-safety guidelines, prevent loss, and maintain a welcoming store environment for every visitor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle multiple tender types per policy.
• Follow cash-handling guidelines and company loss-prevention procedures.
• Adhere to policies on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure food safety regulations and safety guidelines are followed.
• Assist with safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable product information to customers.
