Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets customers and provides assistance.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, and various programs and coupons according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale item guidelines.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and identify unsafe conditions, reporting to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify about repairs to ensure smooth operations.
• Create welcoming environment and answer product questions throughout the store.
• Comply with all laws and company guidelines; manage conflict calmly when needed.
