Job summary

The Kroger family of stores in Cleveland, MS is looking for a Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding service, greet customers, and process transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane.

You will handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, and other tender types following store policies while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and assisting customers with their needs. This role supports safety and loss-prevention measures and adheres to all guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers, maintaining visibility at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Handle various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, etc.) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and help prevent loss.
• Follow policies on restricted items and price discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and obey food safety regulations.
