Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Snellville, GA is seeking a courteous Cashier/Checker to create an outstanding customer experience. You will greet customers, process transactions at the check lane quickly and accurately, and help shoppers find products while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

You will operate the Point of Sale system, handle various tenders, and follow loss prevention rules while staying current with ads and promotions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in a friendly manner
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit transactions and loyalty offers
• Adhere to cash handling and loss prevention policies
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Stay informed about current ads and promotions
• Ensure food safety and store safety guidelines are followed
• Identify unsafe conditions and report issues to management
• Answer product questions to help customers across the store
