Job summary

Databricks is seeking Solution Architects to lead the growth of the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with customers, the product team, and post-sales teams to identify use cases, develop architectures and solutions using our platform, and guide customers through the implementation to accomplish value.

You will build relationships with customers, find champions, and become a trusted advisor. You will report to the Sr.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable coding in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R and debugging.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Top Secret Security Clearance or eligibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to show how Databricks adds business value.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and proof-of-concepts for projects.
• Build reference architectures, how-tos, and demos for customers.
• Promote open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) publicly.
• Travel to customers in the region.
