Databricks seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development with a customer-facing focus.

This role is hands-on, billable, and requires collaboration with engineering, product, and customer teams. Travel up to 20% is expected; US citizenship and clearance eligibility are required; Databricks

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python/Scala/JavaScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with distributed computing, especially Spark.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and APIs.
• Ability to design end-to-end data architectures.

Aufgaben

• Lead production-grade data and AI projects, building reference architectures and data pipelines.
• Guide customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Work with engagement managers to scope technical delivery with customer input.
• Own architecture decisions, ensuring security, scalability, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to meet needs.
• Provide feedback to product and support teams to improve engagements.
