Job summary

PetSmart’s Assistant Store Manager Customer Experience leads the team to deliver outstanding pet-parent service and store performance. The role focuses on people leadership, safety for pets, and efficient daily operations to meet financial goals.

The position requires strong communication, scheduling flexibility, and a hands-on approach to coaching and development across diverse store tasks and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Leads the associate and store experience at all levels and ensures pets in our care are safe and healthy.
• Manages the pet parent experience and outcomes conducted over the telephone, in person or online, and responds to pet parent concerns.
• Oversees store operations, pricing, inventory, and service delivery to meet company goals.
• Drives and identifies opportunities to grow the business and holds associates accountable to P&L targets.
• Coordinates staffing and training to support peak store performance.
