Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Groton is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to represent our brand and deliver outstanding customer service. You will assist customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and promote promotions to support store goals.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, cross-selling, processing transactions with a POS system, and maintaining store appearance. Flexible hours and a team-oriented environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of products and merchandising.
• Strong reading, writing, and instructional comprehension skills.
• Ability to learn about products and articulate the brand purpose.
• Ability to multi-task while serving customers.
• Willingness to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage customers and assess their needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise and explain promotions.
• Provide premier customer service and maintain store appearance.
• Cross-sell products; upsell based on customer needs.
• Handle cash, process transactions, and reconcile daily forms.
• Maintain accurate inventory and support periodic inventories.
• Meet store standards; work with team to achieve goals.
