Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Newport, RI seeks a sales associate to be the face of our brand and provide premier customer service. You will assist customers, learn product details, and promote current promotions and events while contributing to a positive store atmosphere.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, upselling and cross-selling, maintaining store appearance, handling POS transactions, and supporting inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier customer service and help customers identify needs.
• Assist customers with merchandise and explain products, promotions, and events.
• Maintain store appearance and keep stock and pricing accurate.
• Process transactions using the POS system, handle cash, discounts, and cards.
• Assist with inventory and paperwork as needed.
