Job summary

Quipt Home Medical, Corp. is seeking a customer service driven professional to handle first-contact inquiries, take orders, answer questions, and resolve complaints related to home medical equipment.

The role requires empathy, active listening, and accurate data entry while coordinating with physicians and dispatch for timely service. You will greet customers, maintain a professional tone, and assist with insurance and billing questions as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude.
• Engage in active listening with customers, confirming information and diffusing upset customers as needed.
• Assist all internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs and fit considerations.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices on patients, and adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in use and care of orthoses/prostheses, diabetic shoes, and mastectomy if applicable.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate with physicians for prescriptions and specifications.
• Handle requests from multiple sources (phone, fax, e-Commerce, in-person) and complete necessary processes for equipment services.
• Coordinate home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery.
