Job summary

Standard Electric Supply Co. in Champaign, IL or Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide friendly, knowledgeable sales and service support as the primary contact for customers.

You will monitor orders and expedite shipments while maintaining clear communication with internal teams. The role requires 1-2 years of customer service experience with proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Preferred Qualifications: 3-4 years of inside sales.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and professional support.
• Monitor open orders, expedite shipments, and proactively resolve issues or delays.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, and Suppliers to meet customer needs.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Support customers by developing a strong understanding of company products, services, and industry applications.
• Business Hours 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
