Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Dayton, OH to be the first point of contact for customers. You will resolve service inquiries, assist with billing and payments, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of call center or customer service experience preferred
• Bilingual skills are desired but not required
• Must read and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and courteously using company procedures
• Receive and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, fax or personal contact
• Identify reasons for service cancellations and attempt to retain customers
• Provide information on service options, billing, and contracts
• Process customer payments and assist with RumpkePay as needed
• Log and record information on customer accounts
• Create work orders/interactions as needed
• Work with other departments to resolve issues
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and complete tasks on time
