Job summary

G&M Oil Company, Inc. is hiring for a convenience store team member in Southern California. You will operate the POS and fuel consoles, handling transactions accurately while delivering friendly customer service.

You will assist with stocking, merchandising, and daily cleaning to maintain a safe, inviting store environment. The role requires basic math, English communication, and availability for various shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) accurately and handle money and other payment types.
• Process sales transactions including credit cards, coupons, vendor checks, alcohol, tobacco, lottery, and fast food items.
• Check identifications for age-restricted products per policy.
• Engage in promotions and upsell to meet sales goals.
• Adhere to city, state, and federal laws; maintain store safety and cleanliness.
• Stock shelves, maintain backroom organization, and ensure fresh perishable products are rotated.
• Receive deliveries, stock merchandise, and maintain a neat, functional store environment.
• Conduct routine cleaning and upkeep of counters, equipment, and restrooms.
