G&M Oil Company, Inc. is looking for team members to deliver exceptional customer service at our Southern California stations. The role emphasizes accuracy in cash handling, POS operation, and compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills / competency in PDI Enterprise POS (evaluation required).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
• Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately handle money and other types of payment received for product sold.
• Perform service transactions in accordance with company policy: credit card transactions, coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast food sales.
• Check identification for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products according to company policy.
• Participate in sales promotions and campaigns; practice suggestive selling and build customer relations; stay aware of sales goals.
• Review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag at all times.
• Prepare hot food items and maintain condiment bar; monitor fresh food availability.
• Ensure store is clean, stocked, and safe; perform regular cleaning and restocking.
• Receive product deliveries; stock shelves and front face cooler items; manage backroom organization.
• Perform daily inspections of perishable products; rotate stock; keep counters and equipment clean.
