Job summary

G&M Oil Company, Inc. is seeking a store associate to provide friendly, efficient service at our southern California fueling stations and convenience stores. The role includes handling cash using the POS system, processing transactions, and ensuring a safe, clean store environment.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and contributing to a positive customer experience while supporting store operations and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / PDI Enterprise POS proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Open availability to work all shifts within district.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) and handle money accurately.
• Conduct sales transactions per company policy, including alcohol, tobacco, lottery and fast food sales.
• Check identifications for age-restricted products.
• Participate in sales promotions and build customer relations.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness and compliance with laws.
• Receive product deliveries and stock shelves.
