Job summary

84 Lumber seeks a detail-oriented clerk to handle customer complaints by phone and email, update vendor reports, and route information to stores and vendors. You will enter data into Excel, file and fax information, and support the resolution of Lumber and non-Lumber issues in a fast-paced office environment.

Strong reading, writing, and communication skills are essential, along with basic software like databases, internet, and word processing. This role is on-site in a retail/warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Handles the telephone (80% of this time is resolving customer complaints)
• Releases and helps resolve store to vendor complaints.
• Handles email.
• Conducts faxes as needed
• Filing as needed.
• Entering information on Excel spreadsheet.
• Hat pin letters
