Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions and guides them through store areas
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties or sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds per company guidelines
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers
• Prepares register area at shift start/end and ensures equipment function
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders and loads tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches
• Records items used in store on use lists
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels
• Assists customers or associates who trigger the store alarm
• Detects shoplifting signs and informs management/Asset Protection
• Maintains housekeeping standards and clean store/work areas
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment with daily safety checks
• Opens/closes store equipment when needed (e.g., POS, scanners, copiers, CCTV, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned
