Job summary

Kroger, a leading national grocery retailer, is hiring part-time Cashier/Checker in Cincinnati, OH. You will greet customers, process transactions, and ensure accurate checkout while following store policies and safety procedures.

You will handle a variety of payment types, maintain awareness of pricing and promotions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for every guest. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at checkout.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, etc.).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow coupon/gift card procedures.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow safety regulations.
