Job summary

Kroger in Bellevue, NE is seeking a friendly cashier/ checker to create outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions, and work with various tenders while upholding company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential duties include operating the POS, following scanner procedures, adhering to policy on restricted items, and supporting store management in loss prevention and safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Follow food safety regulations
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
• Provide product information to customers across departments
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Handle conflicts calmly and professionally
• Protect customer and business information with integrity
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
• Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
