Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Checker to enhance customer experience at our Omaha store. You will greet customers, process transactions at the POS, and handle a variety of payment methods while adhering to policy.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.
• Familiarity with the POS system and handling multiple tenders as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle tenders including cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, and other payment methods as per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items and promotions.
• Keep up-to-date with ads and company policies; ensure food safety compliance.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to management; assist with safety and maintenance as needed.
• Provide friendly service creating an environment where customers feel welcome and valued.
