Job summary

Kroger Co. in Buford, GA is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet customers, process transactions, and maintain a safe, clean checkout area. You will handle payments and coupons while upholding store policies and providing excellent service.

You’ll work with diverse customers, follow POS procedures, and support loss prevention efforts in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow company policy on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Keep up with ads, policies and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and respond to customer questions.
