Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a cashier/checker role at 378 Marketplace Pkwy, Dawsonville, GA. You will greet customers, process transactions at the check lane, and handle various tenders while following company policies.

You will maintain a safe, clean environment and stay current with ads and promotions to enhance the customer experience. The role requires basic math skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle various payment types (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC)
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers including minors and seniors
