Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the register, maintain store cleanliness, stock merchandise, unload trucks, and ensure all areas are neat and presentable.

The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs, strong customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentations.
• Other duties as assigned.
