Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Iowa LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain store security, and keep merchandise stocked while unloading deliveries.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, strong communication, and physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. A part-time schedule and on-site work at a retail location are typical for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste handling.
• Other duties as assigned
