Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Iowa LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, protect cash, and keep the store stocked and clean. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong communication, and teamwork with colleagues.

The position is part-time at a local Orange City, IA store with opportunities to grow through perks and training programs. Candidates with prior retail or service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep, mop, and take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
