Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Iowa LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our Des Moines location. You’ll assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It offers part-time hours in a retail environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
