Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

This part-time position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. You must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and communicate effectively with customers and team members; training and perks are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation
• Other duties as assigned
