Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons) per policy.
• Follow company policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal ads and promotions.
• Ensure food safety regulations and safety procedures are followed.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle conflicts professionally.
• Provide customer assistance and support while treating minors, special needs individuals, and older adults respectfully.
