Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a part-time Front End/Cashier Associate at the Taylor, MI location. You will greet customers, process transactions at the check lane, and assist with loyalty offers and promotions to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling various payment types, and adhering to store policies, safety rules, and loss-prevention measures while delivering courteous, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle various tenders and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Follow store policies to manage cash handling and prevent loss.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and participate in loss prevention efforts.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; support food safety regulations.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
