Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Consulting Engineering Customer Project Manager to lead delivery of customer projects from planning through execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery to high standards.

The role covers coordinating with internal teams and outside vendors, validating SOWs, developing schedules, managing risks, and driving successful project close with financial reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience.
• PMP preferred.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, electrical power distribution equipment, or mechanical systems.
• Understanding of subcontractor management, project financials, and risk mitigation.
• Technical knowledge of facility/building systems or IT infrastructure (e.g., switchgear, UPS, HVAC, BMS).
• Experience leading a project team to improve customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Experience supervising a technical staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety policies are met at onsite project locations.
• Provide upfront sales support during quotation to ensure specification compliance from an execution standpoint.
• Own the project’s SOW and contract terms with the customer; acts as lead contact for the project.
• Develops a project schedule and coordinates with the customer and internal teams.
• Monitor the execution of the project; coordinate with manufacturing facilities and subcontractors.
• Lead the monitor and control of project performance and communications across the team.
• Lead the closeout of the project including financial reconciliation and training completion.
• Propose alternate products and value engineering.
• Resolve customer interaction issues to improve relationships.
• Ensure projects meet customer requirements within budget and margin.
• Communicate project risk and mitigation plans; forecast financials.
• Suggest improvements to project execution processes and tools.
