Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Consulting Engineering Customer Project Manager in the United States. You will lead customer projects from initiation through close, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding high standards.

Responsibilities include validating SOWs, coordinating schedules with internal facilities and vendors, and maintaining clear communication with customers. Strong PM, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience.
• PMP preferred.
• 3–5 years of project management experience involving construction management, electrical power distribution equipment or mechanical systems.
• In-depth understanding of subcontractor management, project financials, and risk mitigation.
• Technical knowledge of facility/building systems or IT infrastructure systems (e.g., medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS, power distribution).
• Experience leading a project team and supervising a technical staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Schneider Electric safety policies are met at onsite project locations.
• Provide upfront sales support during project quotation and preparation phase to ensure specification compliance.
• Validate the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the customer; act as lead contact for the project.
• Develop a project schedule and communicate with the customer to manage expectations.
• Monitor project execution with kickoff meetings and continuous communication among parties and vendors.
• Lead monitoring and control of project performance; manage updates, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Oversee project close, including financial reconciliation, equipment arrival verification, and training completion.
• Propose alternate products or value engineering as needed.
• Resolve issues with customers to improve satisfaction and relationships.
• Apply knowledge of Schneider Electric products and project management processes.
