Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Manager, Customer Engineering to lead a team of Customer Engineers, drive output, and own the combined performance of the pod. You will coach engineers, manage day-to-day operations, and partner with Account Directors to align priorities, while advancing AI-driven workflows.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role with leadership, and a track record of fostering growth and strong account health metrics in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role with leadership.
• Proven coaching and development track record.
• Experience managing a team focused on health, retention, expansion.
• Strong operating cadence and partnership with Account Directors.
• Experience driving AI adoption to speed workflows.
• Comfort with direct feedback and performance discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own team health, retention, and expansion outcomes.
• Coach and develop engineers through 1:1s and performance plans.
• Run team's operating cadence and Salesforce hygiene.
• Partner with recruiting for hiring and onboarding.
• Collaborate with Account Directors to align priorities.
• Define AI adoption in account workflows.
