Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a store team member to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience.

You will handle truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising duties to keep the store well stocked and aligned with brand standards. Responsibilities include helping customers locate products, enrolling shoppers in the Rewards program, and supporting omnichannel initiatives like BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain in-stock store through merchandise recovery and go-back processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain a positive image as a role model.
