Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate for the BAY-SAN MATEO, CA location to help customers shop, locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain planograms to deliver a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with questions, enrolling shoppers in the Rewards program, and supporting omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Michaels Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back process and store recovery to stay well-merchandised and in-stock.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; promote positive image and respect among team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
