Job Overview

The Customer Development Manager's primary focus is to act as a thought leader within the system for Consolidated as well as support the customer and CCCI operations teams from a field sales perspective. The CDM is connected with the NAOU leads, BASN/MEC/KDP leads, bottler network and CCCI's cross-functional partners working with their team to ensure that we have business plans that are effective and efficient to execute. This role will leverage a broad understanding of the assigned retailers, the competition, and the marketplace to foster growth by driving sales and exploring additional opportunities for incremental revenue and margin results.

Customers: Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Aldi + Lidl

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain a strategic partnership with customers, brand partner leads, and the bottler network to ensure joint business plans are achieved.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional relationships with Field Operations, Product Supply, Marketing, and Revenue Generation Management to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Cultivate, maintain, and sustain ongoing relationships and attend meetings with key external business partners, such as NRS, Brand, Bottler, to drive growth and collaborate with Revenue Generation colleagues to report key results to senior leadership.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities and implement tactics to reverse or sustain trends.
  • Develop and execute sales programs and conduct post-analysis reviews to understand effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to develop, negotiate, and execute complex joint business plans, establishing rapport throughout customer organizations.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and customer service skills with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent organizational management skills; ability to collaborate across various business functions.
  • Understanding of CCCI and customer operational strategies.
  • Basic analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the beverage industry, especially customer-facing roles, preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40%, including overnight trips.
  • Position based in the Carolinas, with remote work flexibility.
