Job summary

The McAlear Group is seeking a Customer Data Specialist to manage order entry, auditing, and customer communications. The role supports multiple departments to resolve order discrepancies and maintain accurate customer files. Strong knowledge of the company's product catalog is required.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year college degree or equivalent experience, plus data entry exposure. The position includes clerical duties and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One or more years of business experience with significant exposure to Data Entry.

Responsibilities

• Entering a high volume of orders while maintaining accuracy for pricing, quantity, part number, etc.
• Correspond with customers by email (primarily), fax and phone
• Correspond with different departments by email (primarily) and phone
• Notify customers of order concerns and enter modifications according to preferences
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
• Communicate with supporting departments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Communicate with staff or supervisor when issues arise
• Promote new product lines and special offers
• Increase sales through cross selling and up-selling
• Update and maintain customer files and contacts
