Job summary

Gillette Children's in St. Paul seeks a Site Based Patient Access Specialist to join our front desk team. This full-time role handles check-in, scheduling across specialties, and guiding families through the MyGillette portal.

You will verify demographics and insurance, obtain signatures on consent forms, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience. On-site onboarding and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, administrative or healthcare setting.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families at check-in area.
• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Obtain signatures on required consent forms.
• Consult with clinical teams to resolve patient needs.
• Complete a wide variety of administrative tasks.
• Promote and enroll patients in the MyGillette patient portal.
• Support inpatient admission and registration needs for St. Paul Clinic.
