Job summary

Gillette Children's is seeking a Patient Access Specialist - Site Based at the St. Paul Outpatient Clinic. This full-time, on-site role is 1.0 FTE with a 9:00am–5:30pm schedule; onboarding shifts run 8:00am–4:30pm for 4–6 weeks.

You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule across specialties, and assist in navigation for an optimal patient experience. Portal enrollment and inpatient support are also included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer service, administrative, or healthcare settings.
• Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families at check-in and register them with correct demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; obtain necessary signatures on forms.
• Coordinate appointments across specialties in alignment with care plans.
• Assist patients with navigation and connect to on-site amenities.
• Encourage use of MyGillette patient portal and appointment reminders.
• Support inpatient registration needs for the St. Paul Clinic.
