Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for our St. Paul site. This full-time role handles patient check-in, registration, and insurance verification, while guiding families through clinic navigation and MyGillette portal enrollment.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with onboarding shifts. Compensation ranges hourly and includes benefits such as retirement matching and education reimbursement, with a focus on exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience in customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families upon arrival to check-in area.
• Performs accurate registration and check-in of patients, updating demographics and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Obtains signatures on required consent forms.
• Assists in clinic navigation and connects patients with on-site amenities.
• Promotes and enrolls patients in the MyGillette patient portal.
• Supports inpatient admission and registration needs for St. Paul Clinic.
