Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Wisconsin is hiring for a Customer Service / Cashier role at our store locations. You will assist customers, process sales, and support desk operations with accuracy and integrity.

You will handle returns, money orders, lottery services where allowed, and maintain a clean checkstand area while following company policies. Weekend availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age (19 in some states if selling tobacco).
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends regularly, shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, process tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Maintain checkout area and perform price discrepancy logging.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards, and transfers.
• Provide lottery service and licenses where allowed; send/receive faxes.
• Open and close the Customer Service Desk; administer lost and found.
• Run vendor reports and support department initiatives.
• Handle EAS tags deactivation/removal at point of sale and respond to pedestal activations.
