Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Strategic Customer Product Architect to collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Design Engineering, and Construction teams to craft scalable, customer-aligned infrastructure solutions for data center environments.

You will lead technical discovery sessions, translate requirements into BoD-driven designs, and support hyperscale deployments across multiple campuses while working with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in mission-critical infrastructure or data center design.
• Strong knowledge of data center cooling, power distribution, and redundancy.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ASHRAE, and TIA-942.
• Experience with customer-facing engagements and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and related design tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance customer needs with technical feasibility and commercial goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to capture requirements and objectives.
• Translate requirements into scalable, efficient MEP infrastructure solutions for data center environments.
• Develop and review Basis of Design (BoD) documents, technical narratives, and customer solution packages.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor during customer engagements and design discussions.
• Support complex customer deployments, including hyperscale and build-to-suit infrastructure.
• Create, maintain, and enhance pre-planned design packages for single-site and multi-campus deployments.
• Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering to support strategic pursuits, proposals, and solution development.
• Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses and technical proposals.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on evolving customer requirements and standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, constructability, and deployment speed.
