The Kroger Co. is seeking a cashier/checker to deliver an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions, operate the POS system, and follow company policies to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.

You will also assist with merchandising, stay updated on ads, and support constructive teamwork to help customers feel welcome and valued.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Aufgaben

• Greeting and assisting customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, SNAP/EBT, coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash limits and work to prevent loss with honesty.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations as applicable.
• Follow safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
