Kroger Co. is hiring a cashier/checker to deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced store environment.

You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and operate the POS system while following company policies and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include handling various tender types, staying informed about promotions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all customers, including minors and individuals with special needs.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsabilités

• Greet, engage, and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with age-restricted items policies (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay updated with ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and equipment.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to all customers and minors or special needs individuals.
